About the HAR-DIN

This is the part that decides whether a fit takes forty minutes or a whole afternoon. A harness adapts the vehicle’s factory plug to the standard connector on the back of an aftermarket unit, so nothing on the vehicle side is ever cut.

Every tail is printed rather than colour-coded alone, because colour conventions differ between manufacturers and a printed word does not get argued with at eight in the evening with a torch in your mouth.

It carries permanent live, switched live, earth, four speaker pairs and an illumination feed. If your vehicle needs a canbus interface as well — common on European cars from about 2009 — that is a different part and we will tell you so rather than sell you this one.
