We come to the vehicle. A standard fit covers the receiver, the aerial, a hard-wired supply and the audio route into your existing stereo, tested and tidied before we leave. Trim comes off with plastic tools, cable runs follow the factory looms, and nothing on the vehicle side is cut.

Most reception complaints are geometry, not hardware. We check what is above the aerial, what the roof is made of, and whether the lead has been run alongside something noisy. Re-siting an aerial fixes more problems than replacing a receiver does, and it costs a great deal less.

Every activation starts with somebody reading an identifier off a screen. On some hardware that is three button presses; on others it is a label inside the chassis. We will talk you through finding yours on the phone, at no charge, whether or not you bought the unit from us.

Describe what the dashboard is doing and we will work through it with you. A dashboard is difficult to describe in a search box — two minutes of questions usually settles whether it is an aerial, a source selection, a supply fault or something that needs the provider rather than us.

If you already run an aftermarket stereo, the receiver usually belongs behind the dash rather than on it. We wire it as a source on your existing unit so it appears alongside radio and Bluetooth instead of sitting on the screen with its own lead.
How we work
Trim panels come off with plastic tools, not screwdrivers. Cable runs follow the factory looms down the pillars and under the sills rather than across a headlining. Power comes off an add-a-circuit fuse tap that carries the original circuit through untouched, so the vehicle goes back to standard by pulling one part.
We do not cut into a vehicle loom. If a job genuinely cannot be done without cutting — and that is rare — we tell you before we start and you decide, not us.
Most satellite radio fitting takes between ninety minutes and half a day, depending on whether the aerial lead has to be run the length of the vehicle and whether the dash has to come apart to reach the factory plug. We quote from the vehicle details before we arrive, not after.
We ask for the year, make, model and trim, and a photograph of the dash and the roof if you can send one. That is usually enough to know whether a receiver will go in the fascia or whether the dock is the sensible answer. The assessment costs nothing.
We test the satellite radio on the vehicle before we leave: signal held while stationary, held on the move, audio routed through your stereo, supply switching correctly with the ignition. Workmanship is warranted for twelve months. If a fit we did develops a fault, we come back.
