About the MNT-VNT

A vent mount puts the receiver at eye level without anything stuck to the dash, which makes it the right answer for a leased or company vehicle. The clip is sprung rather than screwed, so it does not deform a blade, and the jaw depth suits round and rectangular vents alike.

The ball joint has a friction collar rather than a ratchet. It holds angle over a rough surface and it does not develop the click-click slop that ratcheted arms get after a year.

One caveat worth knowing before you buy: on a vehicle where the centre vents blow directly onto the screen, a receiver mounted there will run warm in summer and cold in winter, and an LCD is slow when it is cold. If your only free vent is the centre pair, the MNT-WSC is the better choice.
