About the ANT-55

The ANT-55 exists for two situations: roofs a magnet cannot hold, and drivers who do not want a puck and a trailing lead on show. It bonds with a pre-applied automotive acrylic tape rated for the same temperature range as factory trim, and once it is down it is down — treat placement as permanent.

Because it is taller than a puck, it clears a roof rail better and tolerates a roof box further back. It is the aerial we specify most often on vans, where the roof is long and the receiver ends up a long way from the aerial.

Fitting is straightforward but unforgiving of a cold or dirty surface. Above 15 °C, clean with the supplied wipe, press for thirty seconds, and leave it a full hour before driving.
