About the HOME-12

The HOME-12 takes the SR-220 out of the car and puts it in the kitchen, the workshop or the office. It is a mains cradle with its own amplifier and speakers, so the receiver you already paid for does a second job rather than sitting in a glovebox.

The supplied indoor aerial is a small suction unit for a window. Indoors is harder than a roof — a window on the wrong side of a building may not hold a signal at all, and no aerial fixes that. If you are in a basement or a steel-framed unit, the EXT-20 to an outdoor mount is the real answer.

There is a line out on the back, so it will feed a hi-fi, a powered speaker pair or a small distribution amplifier if you are covering a shop floor or a salon rather than a room.
