About the ANT-30

Nine out of ten reception complaints we are called about are an aerial problem, and most of those are a placement problem rather than a hardware problem. A satellite feed comes from above. If there is metal, a roof box, a parking deck or a heated windscreen element between the aerial and the sky, the receiver will report a weak signal no matter what the receiver cost.

The ANT-30 is a plain magnet-base aerial designed to sit centrally on a steel roof with nothing above it. The magnet is strong enough for motorway speeds and the base is rubber-rimmed so it does not mark paint. The lead is 6 m, which is enough to run down the A-pillar, along the sill and into a dash cavity without a join.

If your roof is aluminium, composite or a full-length glass panel, a magnet has nothing to hold onto. Say so when you order and we will send the adhesive bracket instead at no extra charge.
