Common questions
14 things people ask before they order
If yours is not here, call +1 (855) 670-1800 or send it through the contact form.
Do I need a subscription as well as the hardware?
Yes. Hardware and broadcast plan are separate things bought from separate places. We sell the receiver, the aerial and the fitting; the plan comes from the service provider directly. We do not sell, activate or manage plans, and nobody here can change one for you.
How do I find my receiver identifier?
On most factory systems, tune to channel 0 or look under a Satellite or SAT Settings menu. On our SR-120, hold MENU for three seconds. On our SR-220 it is under Settings, then Receiver ID. If you cannot find it, call us and we will walk through it — that costs nothing and you do not need to have bought from us.
Will this fit my car?
Send your year, make, model and trim through the contact form or tell us at checkout and we will confirm before we dispatch. Trim level decides it far more often than model year does, because the tuner was usually part of a premium audio package rather than standard across a range.
My radio says no signal. Is the receiver faulty?
Almost never. Check what is above the aerial first, then that the aerial has clear sky, then that the lead is fully seated at both ends and has not been crushed under a trim panel. In our own service records the aerial or its placement accounts for the substantial majority of no-signal calls.
Can I fit it myself?
The SR-220 dock, the vent and suction mounts and the aux bridge are genuinely straightforward — no trim needs to come off. A dash-mounted SR-120 with a hard-wired supply is a job for someone comfortable removing fascia panels without breaking clips. If you are unsure, our fitting service starts at $85.
My roof is aluminium or glass. Will the magnetic aerial work?
No — a magnet needs steel. Order the ANT-30 and tell us your roof material and we will send the adhesive bracket variant instead at no extra cost, or specify the ANT-55 fin aerial, which bonds to any surface.
Do you ship outside the contiguous US?
We ship to all 50 states. Alaska and Hawaii go by air and take three to five working days rather than two. We do not currently ship internationally.
What is your returns policy?
Thirty days from delivery for anything unused and in its packaging, and we pay the return postage if the part was wrong because of advice we gave. Adhesive aerials are the one exception: once the tape is down it cannot be returned unless it is faulty.
Is there a warranty?
Twelve or twenty-four months depending on the part — the exact term is on every product page under specifications. Fitting work carries a twelve-month workmanship warranty on top of that.
Are you SiriusXM?
No. We are an independent retailer and fitter of car-audio and satellite-radio hardware. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or authorised by Sirius XM Radio Inc. or by any vehicle manufacturer. We reference brand and vehicle names only to describe what a part is compatible with.
Can you help if I did not buy the hardware from you?
Yes. Phone diagnosis is free either way, and we will fit or re-site hardware you already own at our normal service rates.
Why is my satellite radio fine parked but drops out at speed?
Usually a magnet-base aerial that has crept out of position, or a lead that has worked loose at the connector. Both are two-minute checks. If the aerial has moved, clean the roof and the magnet base — road film between the two is what lets it slide.
Do you install at my address, or do I bring the vehicle to you?
We come to you within our service area. Book through the contact form with your postcode and we will confirm the area and a two-hour window before taking any payment.
What happens after I place an order?
You get an order reference by email straight away. We check fitment against the vehicle details you gave us before anything ships — if something will not fit, we call you rather than shipping it and waiting for the return.
